Love People.

Building true knowledge and intimacy with the God who created you, redeems you and sustains you is of primary importance. ETC takes serious the vertical relationship we must not only enter into but remain faithful to for a lifetime. Loving God is best represented by obedience and faithfulness. "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him" (Heb 11:6).

Jesus first called fishermen to follow him. He then begins to morph his followers into "fishers of men." ETC's missional focus is to build up mature, Christ-centered disciples. This happens after during a period of "set-apartness" where the Lord begins to mold people into His image. ETC shares Paul's mandate to the Ephesians,

"To equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ" (4:12-13)

As the Father sent His Son, the Son then sends His disciples. ETC's theological praxis is to send well-resourced mature disciples throughout the globe on mission. Whether you are called to serve in MKE or Moldova, whether at a church or in a parachurch organization, ETC can strengthen your weaknesses and sharpen your skillset. 

"We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God" (2 Cor 5:20).

Our primary goal in life is to establish a secure relationship with God and advance his Kingdom throughout our life (Luke 10:27).

In our pursuit of God we also purse truth (John 14:6). This assumes advancement in knowledge and wisdom (Romans 12:1-2).

Our primary task is to become "Living bearers of the Word," bearing Christian witness to the world in word and deed.
